Jeff Gordon Racing School

Both of us, Thorsten von Schilling and me, Thorsten Sowa (AKA T'n'T) drove an authentic, Nextel Cup car on the same superspeedways the pros race too.

We drove actual race driven Nextel Cup cars, driven by NASCAR favorites including 4-time NASCAR Champion Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Michael Waltrip, Matt Kenseth and others.

This is as close as you’ll ever get to driving in the Nextel Cup series. Here is how it worked out for us :We went on the track one-on-one with your instructor. We followed behind the instructor, with six to eight car lengths between the cars. As long as we were following the correct driving line and maintaining proper following distance from the car in front of us, the instructor would pick up the speed each lap.

I just wanted to thank everybody in Charlotte for giving us an experience that we will never forget.

Jeff Gordon Racing School reserved the right to dodge the participants' performance. Any person engaging in activity they feel to be unsafe and dangerous has to forfeit the right to drive at their discretion with no refund.

If a program is rained out, guests will be issued a gift certificate to be used at a later date. The track personnel were excited for us and seemed to know how our outlook on NASCAR racing would be forever changed. All of the pictures and video that we took may not capture the speed and feeling that you experience in one of those cars, but they certainly captured our mood as we have beaming smiles in every sing one.
